Comparing Seacycle and standard pedal boat

Seacycle:

  • It is an elegant pedal catamaran 15 feet long and 6 feet wide
  • Uses a propeller without cavitation (loss of energy)
  • Ergonomic and easy to pedal
  • It can handle 3 foot waves and also when strong wind
  • Cruises at 7-8 km / and also sprint at + 13 km / h

Standard pedal boat:

  • Specifically less hydrodynamic
  • It uses a paddle wheel and therefore cavitates
  • Harder to navigate in waves and also when windy
  • Then cruises at less than 2 km / h

Frequently asked questions (more in the FAQ section)

IS PEDAL HARD?

Imagine sliding into the water almost effortlessly, say the effort of walking but with a speed of 2 to 3 times faster than walking. If you want to exercise, you can pedal faster and it will be more difficult. A fast pedal boat is more difficult.

WHAT SPEED CAN WE GO?

Between 7 and 8 km / h. In training mode, it is more than 9 km / h and the sprints exceed 13 km / h.

IS THE SEACYCLE CONTAMINATED?

No fuel needed, no pollution.

Is it NOISE?

There is no paddle wheel you can hear. The propeller makes zero noise. Fish and ducks are not afraid.

DO YOU NEED A SPECIAL PHYSICAL CONDITION?

No special training or ability is required for canoeing or kayaking. People of all ages can enjoy it.

WHAT CLOTHING IS REQUIRED?

No swimsuit or combination. Normal shoes and clothing for the temperature will do the trick.
